The South Florida side, seeded third in the Eastern Conference, aims to capture its first MLS Cup. Last year, Miami was eliminated at this stage of the playoffs by Atlanta United, but Messi’s presence gives them a renewed edge this season.

Messi enters the playoffs in exceptional form, having finished the regular season as MLS top scorer with 29 goals, including a hat-trick and an assist in a 5-2 victory over Nashville SC in the season finale. His performance earned him the Golden Boot, underlining his continued dominance in the league.
