Rudy Giuliani, former NYC mayor and Trump lawyer, hospitalized after a high-speed car crash in New Hampshire, suffering a fractured vertebra and other injuries.

Former New York City Mayor and ex-Trump lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, suffered injuries in a car accident near Manchester, New Hampshire, over the weekend. A spokesperson confirmed Giuliani, 81, fractured a thoracic vertebra and sustained cuts to his arm and leg.

Giuliani’s rental car was struck from behind at high speed. Officials said the crash was not intentional. Earlier, Giuliani stopped to help a woman involved in a domestic violence incident. He called the police on her behalf. The accident happened shortly after he resumed driving.

His spokesperson said Giuliani remains “in great spirits” and expects to leave the hospital in a few days.

Giuliani earned the nickname “America’s Mayor” for his leadership after the 9/11 attacks. He later served as Donald Trump’s personal lawyer and promoted false claims of election fraud after the 2020 election. Trump’s team lost multiple lawsuits challenging the results.

In recent years, Giuliani faced legal troubles, including a $148 million defamation judgment from two former Georgia election workers. He settled the case, keeping his homes, belongings, and World Series rings while agreeing not to speak against the plaintiffs.

This accident adds another chapter to Giuliani’s eventful and controversial public life.
